 WHAT IS PHOTOGRAPHY?

Photography is the art, application, and practice of creating images by recording light, either electronically by means of an image sensor, or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film.

ABOUT THE CLUB.

I have started up the club to encourage people to learn more about the subject. 

Beginners welcome. This is a (very) basic study on all aspects of photography, starting from using your camera, how and where to store photos, and basic editing skills.

 ABOUT THE CLUB ORGANISER.

Ever since the late seventies I have always had a (film) camera whenever we went on holiday. A couple of rolls of 24 or 36 exposures film ready for our adventure. When we got home the film would be processed by Boots and the photos put straight into an album.

Then in 2005, my wife Sue, bought me a digital camera and I have progressed slowly over the years, From small compact cameras, then onto bridge cameras and finally on DSLR's.

I am not a professional photographer, and I am still learning, but what I do know, I would like to pass on to others.
