*** UPDATE 28th May 2026 ***
The existing Committee will, over the next week, provide nomination forms for those that wish to apply for the new committee, further details on dates to collect forms, and then to vote will be shared later. There have been ongoing conversations with the current committee and the incoming Chairman and Secretary, which has resulted in the email below, sent to us from the incoming Chairman. Please see his email below.
Good afternoon everyone,
Firstly, I would like to apologise to all residents affected by my initial selection of the new committee. This was due to a lack of information and misinformation I took on board having read various constitutions regarding the correct election process and taking advice from newly nominated committee members.
I have now reviewed and studied the correct QRA election process for the incoming committee. The process will now proceed on the basis of all Resident Association members voting for the required committee positions, in accordance with the constitution. Associate members may still be appointed by the elected committee, as permitted under the constitution, to work alongside and support the new committee when required.
There will also be a short additional nomination period for any other residents who may wish to put themselves forward for a committee position. Details of this process will be set out by the existing committee, and any new nominations will be added to those already received.
This process will be undertaken and explained by the current committee, with assistance from myself, the incoming secretary and treasurer, and an independent person overseeing the final counting of votes, ensuring everything is carried out as smoothly as possible and fully in accordance with QRA requirements.
- Chairman Dave Phillips
- Secretary Amanda Bastable
- Treasurer Julie Torrence
We need 5 more members to be chosen from the nominations, the positions will be for Vice Chairperson and General Committee members. The incoming Committee will continue to support/organise sports activities across the park for all residents.
The residents who have already submitted nominations are:
- Kaz Duffield ( general committee member)
- Harry Toms ( general/sports co-ordinator committee member)
- Alan Rumsby (general committee member)
- Julie Crudgington ( general committee member)
- Suzy Harrington (general committee member)
- Roger Graves ( general committee member)
- Stephen Ferguson ( general committee member)
- Michael O’Brien (Vice Chairman nomination)
- Geoff Webb (Vice Chairman nomination)
Thank you for your understanding, patience, and cooperation.
Dave Phillips (Incoming Chairman)
Kind Regards
Please note that Charity work will still be undertaken by Tracy Harris and Tracey Wakeling, this is NOT a QRA function, but previously both Tracey's were on the QRA committee, but will not be from 1st September.
