Pitch Fee increase

Pitch Fee increase

*** 29th January @ 08:21 ***

The RA Committee have had many queries regarding the new pitch fee cost and the impending tribunal.  Members have asked when the cut off date for paying is, and what to do if we decide to pay, or indeed decide not to pay.
The last date to pay any increase that you may wish to pay is 31st January 2026.  This date falls on a Saturday and therefore the last working day is, we believe, the 30th January.   You MAY wish to pay, and if you do this is the date you should be looking at.   If you do not pay, then you will receive a letter stating that this is now a tribunal situation.  If you have decided not to pay the increase, you do not need to let the office know, by not paying, they will be aware of your decision.
As previously stated, this is an individual decision, based upon your reasons for not paying the uplift. The QRA are here to talk to you, answer any questions you may have, but we are not able to give you legal advice.
We hope that this is helpful.

Kind Regards

The QRA have been asked by a number of members if we are able to represent you at Tribunal should this come to fruition.
As we have stated to those that have asked, no members of the Committee have legal training, we do not know the intricacies of legal jargon, and so MAY give incorrect advice.
However, there are a number of agencies that can assist. and they are:
NAPHR  National Association of Park Home Residents  this is a voluntary organisation giving advice to residential park home owners, who also represent their views to the Government.
IPHAS  is another voluntary organisation who assist with all issues of Park Home living.

Although both of these organisations are voluntary, they do have staff who are well versed in and have training in the legal processes of Tribunals.

You will also find in your Written Statement,  information which you will have received when moving into your home regarding Tribunals and what the process is.

We all need to remember that the letters coming to us from Management, are based on legal requirements,  they may seem to some to be aggressive or threatening, but they have to be factual, and clear.  Remember that as long as you are paying your ground rent at its value prior to November 2025, you will NOT lose your home, you will NOT be asked to leave the park, as we know some people have been worried about this.

Please be assured that the QRA have and do attend meetings with members and Management when asked to do so, we attend these meetings to, listen,  take notes, and then debrief with the member after that meeting.  This service is always on offer.

Given all that is going on, on site at the moment, we hope that this email is useful.

Kind Regards
