It is with regret that we need to inform you of the closure of the swimming pool this weekend.
Whilst we appreciate this is not welcome news, the team are doing everything they can to ensure fully trained staff are in place so that the current timetable can resume as soon as possible.
We wish our pool manager Darren every success going forward with his career.
We are sad to see him go after so many years, but this decision has been made by Darren and we respect it.
Unfortunately, Darren left earlier than planned which left it difficult to obtain a full handover.
You may have been aware that a recent lifeguard course was started by Darren however, this was not organised by the Park or company and therefore failed to follow company and IQL (Institute of Qualified Lifeguards) procedures leaving the company exposed and at risk.
Please rest assured we are doing our utmost to ensure the pool is fully lifeguarded as soon as possible but cannot put the safety of our swimmers at risk by opening without adequate staffing levels.
We would like to say a massive thank you to Mike for putting the extra time in this week so the pool could remain open throughout the week.
We will look to update you with regular opening hours at our earliest opportunity and our new water aerobics time will be 12 midday from Wednesday 2nd August.
