Feedback from Sandy Bay resident, Roger Graves, who regularly attends the CPBC local councillor workshop held once a month in Canvey Library.
The Leader of the Council, Councillor, (Dave Blackwell) advised that there has been discussion between the Council and the authorities responsible for the planned roadworks on Canvey Way (A130).
There will be a night closure of Canvey Way, due to commence on 5th November 2023 (21:00 - 05:00). The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Essex County Council undertakes bridge joint replacement.
This could potentially cause major disruption to traffic on Canvey Island and the neighbouring areas such as South Benfleet, so please be aware.
The Committee will continue to monitor the situation with CPBC and update the website if there are changes to the Essex County Council plans.
